*Our Holiday Program will be on Wednesday, December 3rd at the Dixon High School Auditorium. The program begins at 7:00 p.m. Please have your child at the high school by 6:45. It is always a joy to watch and listen to the children sing. Don’t forget your camera!
*Winter Break for the public schools will begin on Friday, Dec. 22 and run through Friday, Jan. 2. Our Text Box: school-age off-sites will be open from 6:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m. during this time. Please let us know if your child will not be attending Open Sesame during break.
*Open Sesame will be closing at 4:00 p.m. on Christmas Eve, Dec. 24, and will be closed Christmas Day and the day after, Dec. 25 & 26. We will also be closed on Thursday, Jan. 1. There is a sheet attached to the newsletter with the days listed that Open Sesame will be closed in 2009.
*We will start the year right with a family field trip in January! We will be traveling to the i wireless Text Box: Center on Saturday, January 17, to see Disney on Ice “Worlds of Fantasy”. If you are interested in going, please check with the office and see if there are still seats available.
*With the changing of the seasons, please make sure your child has the proper clothing in their locker -warm coat, hat, mittens, snow pants and boots. The children go outside as much as possible when the weather permits.

Text Box: Open Sesame will again be collecting food, mittens and hats, and items for the animal shelter during the holiday season.
We will have our “giving tree” set up in the hallway. Parents and children will be able to Text Box: decorate our tree with new hats and mittens and place non-perishable food items as well as items for the animal shelter underneath it. All items collected will be passed on to the proper organizations to be handed out to those Text Box: in need. We are sure that all donated items will be greatly appreciated.
**Don’t forget the Toys for Tots barrel is located in the hallway as well!
